Greetings, I’m Jess, and I’ve been mastering the craft of hair cutting, coloring, and styling for eight years. My favorite work is customizing and collaborating looks with my clients that are suitable and complimentary to skin tone, face shape, hair texture, personal style, and lifestyle. I welcome open communication and appreciate talking to and bonding with my clients, however, if you are looking for the salon experience to be a time of peaceful decompression, I am pleased to make you a hot tea and leave you to your meditations after we confirm your hair goals. Whether your style is sleek and polished, natural and slightly messy, alternative, high maintenance or effortless, you are welcome in my chair. If you are seeking precision, are new to the salon experience and a little nervous, needing to troubleshoot a haircut or color pain point, wanting to maintain what you already love, craving a major transformation, looking for someone with experience with textured hair, are shy, are not shy, or if you simply love a good head massage—however you come and whoever you may be, all are truly welcome in my chair. 

I joined the beauty industry as a shy, creative introvert seeking a life where I could connect with people and build social and artistic skills. I adore the science of coloring hair equal to the admiration I carry for the geometric art of haircutting (and if you’re curious about your color or cut process, I am open to sharing all things hair nerd, so please ask away:)). An ideal work day for me is a diverse one, thusly I enjoy capably executing a specific color and cut inspiration to precision just as much as I enjoy working with a client looking for experienced direction, collaborative input and/or creative freedom. 

When l’m not vibing it out at Frequency, I enjoy cooking, being a plant and dog mom, reading books, side questing as a wannabe deep sea oceanographer, being outside, all things whimsy tinged with goth, long bath, being extra, and reteaching myself the cello.
